We are a floral and event design studio serving Philadelphia, the East Coast shorelines, as well as destinations throughout the world. Kate McManus is the owner and founder of Devon & Pinkett.
Kate's love of design, color, texture, family, friends and beauty comes full circle to make Devon & Pinkett what it is today. Weddings and events bring people together for life's most momentous and joyous occasions, whether it's a wedding, a baby shower, a gala, a Bar Mitzvah, you name it, we want to help you make your occasion so memorable with the use of florals, decor and incredible design.

GORGEOUS EVENTS
got me into the world of fashion and over time, it evolved into working in events and working hands on with flowers and nature. I started my journey at the Fashion Institute of Technology, studying fashion design and specializing in illustration. My career took off at a very young age of 19. After several years of incredible adventures that took me all over the world for shows and exhibits, I found myself wanting to turn the page to a new chapter. I always had a desire for starting my own business, and it evolved from a clothing line to an event design business.
The transition to weddings and floral was seamless, as my love of nature, design, entertaining and people beautifully coalesced into what it is now, a full service floral and event design company. Working with clients and their families to create the setting for their most momentous occasions in life is such a joy, as we strive to surpass the expectation and go above and beyond what our clients can dream of, using our creativity and talents to make floral and event magic.
My love of
design
spending it with my daughter and my two retrievers, being with friends and family, traveling the world, pursuing my passion in fitness (I'm also a certified personal trainer!), spending time on or near the water, being outdoors for camping and hiking or pursuing my latest passion, learning to sail a catamaran!
When I’m not working
I can be found in my spare time...
We love to be inspired by art, design, nature, architecture and anything in between. For this reason, we are also available for worldwide travel for event design and coordination.
Whether it's the sparkling beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean, the jungles of Belize or a gorgeous safari in Kenya.

Having learned that it takes a village to build a dream, we use that same concept in our event design service and team building for the day of an event, making sure you have the best of everything, from lighting, invitation and paper, flowers, music to everything in between, to make sure that your day is impeccably thought out and the absolute best day.

Early spring, you’ll see us shopping the markets from Japan for the biggest anemones you’ve ever seen. You can expect the most beautiful parrot tulips or the daintiest fritllaria meleagris flowers from Holland. We source heavenly scented lilacs from the oldest farms in Europe, some of those bushes dating to 250 years old! In the summer and early fall months, you’ll find us making treks to our favorite flower farmers to pick out dinner plate dahlias, the size of just that, dinner plates!
Where do your flowers come from?
Are you a budding floral designer looking to expand your skill set? Or a home enthusiast that is seeking to elevate your next dinner party? We are launching in 2024 an educational series for beginners.
We will also be hosting intimate classes for designers looking to expand their skillset as a floral artist. Not only will she share her favorite mechanics, but she will teach you about the processes behind the scenes, like how to create a recipe, how to order flowers, how to create an action plan for the day of set up, how to work with the incredible speed and efficiency that Kate has become known for.

We are an award winning floral design company, but one we are most proud of, was being awarded Best Florist of Philadelphia in the 2019 Philadelphia Magazine “Best Of The City” issue. It is a great honor to be named among so much talent and we are so grateful to the support of the magazine that we have had over the years.
